The Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor, called ‘Mahakal Lok,’ is a grand project in Ujjain. The first phase of this ₹856-crore project was opened on October 11 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This beautiful corridor is over 900 meters long and surrounds the ancient Rudrasagar Lake, which has also been restored. The temple is one of the 12 sacred jyotirlingas in India and attracts many devotees throughout the year.
The corridor has two grand entrance gates, 108 beautifully carved stone pillars, flowing fountains, and a long panel with more than 50 murals showing stories from the Shiv Puran. The Mahakal Lok makes the temple even more special and offers visitors a peaceful and divine experience.
